He came to America in 1924
for the first time, and is now liv
ing in Connecticut. He is tall
and very slender, with a sensi
tive face, and long and expres
sive hands. Quoting Dr. Lillian
P. Wallace, “Personally, Brailo-
wsky’s outstanding character
istic, is his completely lacking in
arrogance about his perfor
mances.”
On April 16, the sixth and
last Civic Music Concert of this
season will be presented. Ap
pearing on this program will be
the Minneapolis Symphony
Orchestra, Dimitri Metropolis,
conducting.

Judging from the two basket
ball games that have been play
ed, it appears that the Fresh-
men-Senior meet is the one to
look forward to. Of the two
games played, the Seniors de
feated the Juniors, 40-21, and
the Freshmen “vamped” the
Sophomores 34-7. High scorers
for the Senior winning team
were “Lefty” Pugh and Mary
Frances Craig, and for the
Freshmen, Frances Nichols,
Catherine Carpenter, and B. J.
Shuler. The results of the other
tournament games will be re
ported in the next issue of The
Twig.
Several players who left last
Friday night, Feb. 20, played
basket-ball at the State Play
Day in Winston-Salem. Those
