May 7, 1948 THE TWIG Page Three Senior Art Exhibits By BETTY HEFNER Perhaps you have passed by the Art Department and have seen the walls bare with only thumb tack holes visible, and a bleak sign hanging on a door saying, “Gallery Closed.” Then later, upon being invited, you walked down to the gallery to be greeted by a smiling student who in turn invited you to see her exhibition of hard work amid flowers, food, and bright lights. An art student who has al ready received, achieved, or whatever you may desire to call it—this degree is Bethea Wells. Her exhibit opens on May 14. Bethea has had practical experi ence along with her studies, for her new home has given her a chance to put her talent to use even in the tiniest corner. In her spare time she plans to “paint EXAMINATION SCHEDULE FOR SECOND SEMESTER, 1947-48 CLASS HOURS TIME OF EXAMINATION M W F 9:30 a.m. May 22 Saturday 9:00 a.m. M W F 11:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. M w F 12:00 noon May 24 Monday 9:00 a.m. M w F 2:00, 3:00 p.m. 2:00 p.m. M w F 8:30 a.m. May 25 Tuesday 9:00 a.m. T Th S 9:30 a.m. 2:00 p.m. T Th S 11:00 a.m. May 26 Wednesday 9:00 a.m. T Th s 12:00 noon 2:00 p.m. T Th 2:00, 3:00 p.m. May 27 Thursday 9:00 a.m. T Th s 8:30 a.m. 2:00 p.m. Seniors whose examinations are scheduled for May 27 will be given these examinations on May 20.
