Dr. Tribble to
Lead Group
MEN OF DISTINCTION
A discussion group on the
basic fundamental doctrines of
the Christian faith will be held
next Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday nights, Oct. 12, 13,
and 14 at 7.00 p.m. in Phi Hall.
Dr. Blackburn, pastor of the
Wake Forest Baptist Church
will lead this series of discus
sions. He is a graduate of Wake
Forest College, and the South
ern Baptist Theological Semi
nary where he received his
Th.M. and Th.D. He was in the
Department of Theology under
Dr. Harold Tribble whose book
Our Doctrines will be used as a
basis for the discussion.
As a result of Focus Week
last year it was felt that there
was a definite need to have dis
cussion groups throughout the
year to stimulate thought,
arouse questions and give an
swers to problems that students
have. This is the first such
group being planned for this
year. Those people who wish
to get credit for this in their
Training Union may do so, but
with or without credit this
seminar should be a contribu-!
tion to anyone’s Christian think- i
ing and living.
