Tips on body building exercise and facial make-up will be presented along with demonstrations. Dorm and day students are invited to attend this meeting in the Fireside Lounge at Cate Center. Housing Shortage Due to the increase in resident students this year, Meredith is facing a housing shortage. Three and four girls are sharing single rooms because of overcrowded conditions. The house director’s office has been moved from the first floor of Faircloth and the rooms quickly were converted into an extra suite. Mrs. Thorne is now located in the first floor Poteat parlor and study room. The Dean of Students’ office reports an enrollment of 1,156 resident students, the highest in Meredith history. Although they are pleased with this fact, they advise students to pay their room deposit promptly in February in order to secure housing for next year. ATTENTION! Inside yearbook pictures will be taken this year Monday-Friday September 4- 15 from 8 a.m.-12 noon and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Students please Volleyball Schedule sign up on the 1st floor of your dorm and faculty please sign up on 1st floor of Joyner, Hunter and Jones. Seniors will be able to get inside pictures taken also if they desire without having to pay another $2.50 sitting fee. On May 8, the SPCA received a memorial gift of $121.75 in memory of Linda Ann Morgan from the class of 1980 at Meredith College. Allison Brooks from Salisbury, N.C. made the presentation.
