of Creative Writing at Meredith College

Session I - "Blunt Thumbs and Lettuce Leaves": Images In
' poetry and fiction
Wednesday, February 16 - 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Session II - "Tell It Like It Never Really Was": Figurative
language in prose and poetry
Thursday, February 17 - 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Session III - "But What Does it Mean?": Why Writers Write
Friday, February IB - 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Each session will include writing experiences and discussion of
participants' work. Participants may submit poetry and/or fiction
manuscripts Co Ms. Newton prior to the workshop. Deadline for
such submissions is Friday, February 4. During the week beginning
February 14, Ms '-.wtori will schedule conferences with those who
would llk-e individual help with their work.
Manuscripts should be sent to Suzanne Newton, Joyner Hall,

warm-up, peak work, and
cool-down periods, with up to
12-15 minutes of continuous
aerobic excises.
