The free program is sche duled at 3 p.m. in the auditorium. The exhibition and related activities are supported by a grant from the Na tional Endowment for the Arts. Museum hours are 10 am. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday; 12 noon to 5 p.m. Sunday; closed Monday and Tuesday. There is no admission fee. She attended the University of Michigan and the University of Cincinnati, and re ceived her bachelor's and master's de grees from the San Francisco Art Insti tute. Immediately following the perfor mance is the Center Stage Opening Night Gala sponsored by and held at the Ra leigh Hilton on Hillsborough Street. All patrons of ORCHARDS are invited to attend this festive celebration. On Sunday evening the actors return to the stage in a delightful version of Shakespeare's pastoral comedy AS YOU LIKE IT. The Bard’s classic has been masterfully reinvented with a delightful freshness and vitality. Director Mervyn Willis, who has an im pressive range of credits in the United States and Great Britain spanning classi cal repertory to experimental theatre, has done a fabulous job in making the play work for a modem audience. The Eliza bethan English is easily understandable because of the actot's perfect diction. The incredible sets, props and costumes are unforgettable. A magical, multico lored world, along with man/eious music composed by Jeffrey Taylor captures the modem imagination by evoking a fantas tical time and place of the past.
