SPECIAL! SPECIAL! May is the month dedicated to mothers and we would like to dedicate this newsletter to a very fine lady - Stuckey Rives. I have asked Warren to write an article for this occasion and here it is; MOTHERS DAY Mothers are very special people. They always know where your socks are or where you can find clean underwear. I never could figure out how my mother always knew where anything I wanted was; until, I realized she was the one who picked it up and put it there. "Mother is another name for love." I gave mama a little plaque for Mother's Day one year which said that. She still has it. Pinned to her kitchen curtains is a card off of some flowers that Jeff gave her for Valentines 6-10 years ago that simply says "I love you." She still has that. Who else remembers all the good things you do, listens to all your thoughts, is always pulling for you and never forgets your birthday. God in his infinite wisdom certainly knew what he was doing when he made Mothers. My mother is Stuckey Rives. My dad says the only reason he has been successful in business is because of mama. I have to give her the same credit. As Jeff and I were growing up, she was a school teacher, housekeeper, Sunday School teacher. Mobile Meals worker. Church Kitchen Coordinator, wife. Church Board Member and Mother. She always had time for us when we needed it - to either hug us or spank us, which ever was needed. I hope as I grow older that I have enough good in me for my mother to know how much I love her and appreciate what she is to me. As I look at my children nov;, and their relationship to Ellen and I ; I remember back how no one else in the world could rub my back like mama when I was saying my prayers at night; I realize that the Lord has especially blessed me and I am grateful. Happy Mothers Day to all of you who give the same to your families year after year. Warren
