This is required for all residents, ComiJissioner McCulley reportet that speed limit signs and ^ litter signs are in place. Commissioner Browne moved that no parking signs be placed on Cottonwood Court at Arbors pvi- littering in that area have been received. Police Chief Overman reported the numerous arrests laade during the month, including those for littering. He reminded oimers of CB units take the precaution of storing the unit out 01 sight in the trunk if you are leaving the car for ength of time. Thes^ units can be stolen in a very few minutes, whether the car is locked or not, A resolution was read by Aileen Adams, Town Clerk, stating that requests for donations could not be paid by the town, no matter how worthy the charity or cause, using tax payers money. This resolution was passed by the board at meeting, iirs. Adams also read the amendments to the fire contrac with Atlantic Beach. The amendments state that each party has the right to negotiate lor rates. 'Je agree not to seek price changes this year. Commissioner Ramsey reported on garbage collection service, giving comr,ari- sons in rates and service with nearby tovms. This budget provides for a paid secratary-treasurer. It also allov^s funds for -nl equipent such as swings, slides, shuffleboard, and horseshoes at Brock Basin and improvements at Hall Haven including bulkheading the' curve leading into he basin but not the basin itself. The report of the committee on water- returned to the com.iittee for further study. Re:oort was made on tne effort to have lot ovmers on the canal bulkhead their property. Ed Crumley spoke of the need to appoint a committee to begin immediate study of the problems re^rard- canal, including the legal angles.
