The second event, the Warrior Reception and Auction, was held on Thursday, May 31, at the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. Attendees were welcomed with tables laden with an assortment of foods donated by over 20 local restaurants. Attendees snacked as they perused and bid on over 100 items in the silent auction. Many members of the Pine Knoll Shores Garden Club and Pine Knoll Shores Womens Club prepared baked goods for the dessert table. Thanks go to Glen Johnson and our troop of kitchen workers who kept the food tables refreshed, as well as Class Act Catering. Auctioneers on Deck took over the live auction festivities. Howard Henderson and Mary Ellen Eurich did a great job of keeping the auction lively and fun. Twenty-seven items were presented for bidding. Items such as a kayak, paddleboard, wine basket, household items, golf packages, a recliner, a quilt by Karen Zaenker and Cindy Moeller and much more were offered. Thanks to Celeste Lindley for her hard work in organizing this fun evening. Our auction team was terrific; thanks to all who helped secure auction items. We also appreciate the staff at the aquarium for all their help. (Continued on page 12) 1610 AM^”^^^radio The Pine KnaJ Shcres Itation broadcasts 24 hours a day _ wffii i.id emergency info.
