Caroling in Pine Knoll Shores By Kathy Falandys Tilyard We are getting excited about the Eighth Annual Pine Knoll Shores Christmas Carol Sing, which is planned for Sunday, December 16, at 4:45 p.m., beginning at Garner Park. Those who went caroling with us last year had a great time, and the folks we visited clearly appreciated it. We make every effort to go to the homes of shut-ins or those who live alone—and it is amazing how many there are. This is an informal gathering, and guests and children are welcome. Invite all you know to join us. One need not have a good voice, only a good heart. Give joy and get a good dose of it yourself I know you join Susan Toms and me in wanting to bring joy to others who will love the treat. Let’s continue a great Pine Knoll Shores tradition. Please call those you wish to visit in advance to prepare them for our visit, and send your list with the addresses to Susan Toms at witoms@hotmail.com well before December 16 so she can organize our route. We will assemble at Garner Park before heading out to visit our neighbors, and we will have Christmas music handouts. Wear antlers or Santa hats, bring bells, dress in your holiday fun outfit and bring a flashlight. If it is cold, dress warmly. We hope to have a good gathering for this community event. Please mark it on your calendar so you don’t forget. Join us afterward at Tommy and Susan Toms’ home for appetizers and snacks. If you wish to bring some goodies to share, that will be great. If you are interested or would like more information, contact Kathy Falandys Tilyard at katcoast@gmail.com or at 252-247-7221. If it rains, the Carol Sing will be cancelled.
