Shoreline Changes (Continued from page 1) allowed the News-Times to focus on its core mission of news coverage. In the process of this change in printing facilities, there has been a change in the format of all the publications associated with the Carteret Publishing Co. and, of course, the community newspapers which have previously been printed at the Morehead City offices. As was mentioned earlier, there is no change in the commitment by your local staff at The Shoreline or the Carteret Publishing Co. to provide a local print publication dedicated to informing and serving the com munity of Pine Knoll Shores. There is always a concern that print is becoming less relevant today and thus the prediction that publications will disappear. As a native of this community and as a fourth generation newspaperman, Em confident that print will remain not only relevant but stronger as our readers come to grips with all the chaos that floods our devices every second. While the maxim about change is correct, there is another maxim that applies. A gentleman in Massachusetts once noted that all politics is local. The same holds true for news, especially the important news that impacts us on a daily basis. All the news that matters is local and can be found in your monthly Shoreline and your community newspaper. Sandra Kelley Ann Rivers August 2019 I The Shoreline
