BOARD MEETING The regular first Tuesday evening meeting of the Board of
Commissioners has been changed to the second Tuesday evening,
CHAI'IGED June 10, Sit 8 p*m. This v/ill accommodate the legal requirements
for the presentation and and adoption of the town budget. At
that meeting Commissioner Dixson vdll present the tom budget for fiscal 1980-
1981, with possible adoption by the Board at that time.
Commissioner Dixson said the budget mil have been presented to the Board
Thursday, May 29.
The proposed use of Revenue Sharing Funds for fiscal 1980-81 was presented to
the Board and advertised, with a public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, at
2 p.m.
Also at the meeting the board said it would be in regular session only
once a month, on the first Tuesday, at 8 p.m., on a trial basis. It is hoped
this curtailed schedule will be sufficient to handle the town*s business.
.BpARD APPROVES The Board of Commissioners, at their meeting on Tuesday, May 6,
approved amendments to Article VII of the Zoning Ordinance. This
ZONING AMENMENT. reclassifies the area betx^een the Iron Steamer Pier and the Ramada
Inn from C-1 Commercial Residential, to Rr-4, single family
residential. This is an area of approximately 3262 feet on which it is proposed
to build single family residences and which was the subject of a public hearing on
April 16.
Revised copies of the Zoning axid Subdivision Ordinances are on file in the
office of the Town Clerk and may be reviewed during business hours.
