SHORE UNE Pubhshed by The Town of Pine Knoll Shores In The Interests Of Its Citizens Post Office Box 757, Atlantic Beach, N. C. 28512 Wayne Cleveland died on Friday morning, November 18th. Each of us will have his own memories of him for the rest of our days. Of course we will remember Wayne, the Mayor. He served our Town with devotion and ability for years and it may well be that he literally gave it his life. We will remember him as a Commissioner who worked long and hard toward making a reality of the dream of a new Town Hall. Many of us will remember him in his private life as a caring husband, father and grandfather.” But m"ost of us will remember him as a "friend" - and there is no better title. As Alexander Pope wrote: "How often are we to die before we go quite off this stage? In every friend we lose a part of ourselves, and the best part."
