to get the newspaper, the sign and been knocked down and the pile kicked over into the yard.

The conversation cane a day or so after Irene Doremus suggested that Shore Line
carry a piece reminding dog owners that the town has a leash law. Irene was irked by a
worman she saw on the beach who had kicked only a light covering of said on the mess her
dog made on the beach.
On Jtily 1, Bob Herbst will take over as chief of the Pine Knoll Shores Rescue Squad,
and Gil Millington, another experienced emergency medical technician will become assistant
chief. They will succeed Dan Sotir and Brenda Cox.
The town is fortunate to have such competent personnel manning the ambulance 2k
hours every day, but more volunteers are needed. Training for ambulance attendants got
under way at 7 P*». June 19.

Remindert PIKSCO annual meeting will be held on Friday, July 6 at 7*30 in Town
Kail. Since the by-laws require a quorum to be present, members are urged to attend in

Plans are underway for a community birthday party for anyone in Pine Knoll Shores who
has an August birthday. The celebration will take place on Wednesday* August 15, at the

Nancy and Pete Peterson are the proud parents of a son who arrived May 9# weighing
9 pounds, 14 ounces. The youngster was names Per Arvid in honor of a great grandfather
but will be called Perry,
Bernice Donaldson wants to thank the people of Pine Knoll Shores who raised a total
