Page -6- A FEW TIPS ON FIRE PREVENTION FROM CHIEF CRAWFORD: 1. Sunmer is a gcx3d time to have your chimney checked and cleaned. Also, make sure^^ the chimney is capped to prevent birds or animals from nesting there. 2. A reminder that there is a burning ordinance in Pine Knoll Shores. You must have permission from the Fire Department to burn trash, brush, etc. Have a hose at the site and supervision is required until the fire is completely out. 3. PROPERTY CAN BE REPLACED - LIVES CANNOT. If you smell smoke in your house - call inmediately. Get out of the house. If possible, cut off the main electrical switch. Stickers for windows and doors are available at Town Hall to assist the Firemen in identifying rocans where small children or invalids are located.
