Page -3- PLANNING BOARD MEETS At its June meeting, the Planning Board considered the request of the John Yancey Corporation that the proposed ordinance regarding properties which are divided by a street be changed. The corporation feels that they should be allowed to make cumulative use of their property under those circumstances. The proposed ordinance, subject of public hearing last month, stated that each piece of such property be considered inde pendently. That means that density requirements, limitations on land use, and setbacks apply to each piece. After consideration the Board agreed unanimously to recommend that the proposed ordinance not be changed. They also recommended to the Commissioners, adoption of the change in the waterway ordinance and the tree pruning restriction to be added to the zoning ordinance. COMMUNITY APPEARANCE COMMISSION May activity of the CAC included approval of four CO's, 5 tree removals, 11 additions to properties, 2 new homes. Plans for relandscaping property on which trees were removed without authorization is in negotiation with members Audrey Hoffmeyer and Erma Johnson. Art Miller was elected vice-chairman of the Commission.
