BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that costs covering fees and expenses, including that of
witnesses be submitted by said attorney by a fee schedule to the Town.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF A
SURPLUS VEHICLE
WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners of the Town of Pine Knoll Shores desires to
dispose of a certain 1986, blue, 4 door Ford Crown Victoria automobile.
WHEREAS, the police department has replaced a white, 1988 Ford, Crown Victoria with
a new, 1990 Chevrolet Caprice patrol car;
WHEREAS, the mileage is less than that on the car being used by the inspections
department at this time;
NOW, TPiEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of commissioners of the Town of Pine
Knoll Shores that:
1. One 1988 Ford, 4 door sedan. Crown Victoria [blue] is hereby declared to be
surplus to the needs of the Town.
2. The Commissioner of Planning and inspections is authorized to negotiate on behalf
of the. Board of Commissioners the sale of the blue car.
3. The terms of the sale shall be cash.
4. One 1985, Ford, Crown Victoria [white] is declared surplus to the needs of the
Police Department, and is to be transferred to the Inspection Department, because.it is
needed for inspections.
5. The Town Clerk shall cause a notice of this resolution to be published.
6. The sale may be oDnsummated not earlier than 10 days from the date of publication.
PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Sponsor February
as American History Month each year.
WHEREAS: to Stimulate a knowledge in both young and old a sense of pride in our
nation's great achievement and dedication to liberty.
l)/HEREAS: To stress pride in the United States of America through community services,
in educational programs, essay contests and historical tours.
WHEREAS, Through the study of American history are we more aware of the importance
of freedom, equality, justice and humanity in all our lives today.
WHEREAS: The importance of remembering American history should be duly noted.
The Mayor proclaimed the month of February to be American History month in Pine
Knoll Shores.
PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the Carteret Public Giving Foundation has been established to aid and promote
charitable causes and the overall well-being of Carteret County, and
WHEREAS, the aim of the Foundation is to supplement education programs, aid the
elderly, the handicapped, establish scholarships, promote health and medical care, preserve
our heritage, encourage cultural arts, and generally assist non-profit organizations exis
ting for the general welfare of our citizens, and
WHEREAS, the Foundation is legally classified by the Internal Revenue Service as
a publicly supported community trust, thereby providing assurance that funds entrusted
to the Foundation are tax deductible insofar as provided by law, and
