OUR NEW NEIGHBORS
It's no surprise that Wally and Enice Williams settled here since
Wally was born in Boca Grande, Florida, on an island Similar to ours. Boca
Grande is also the tarpin fishing capital of the world, which may explain
Wally's love of the sport. It’s in his blood.
While still in college, Enice and Wally married and began a family.
Upon finishing school, Wally,an electrical engineer, was offered a teaching
position at Duke University, A summer job at Westinghouse in Raleigh led
to a thirty-five year career with the firm.
While raising their two children, Enice acquired quite a variety of
skills including upholstery. In addition to re-upho1stering two pieces of
their living room furniture, she re-did the seats in their son's car.
Quite a seamstress, she creates and sells costumed teddy bears - a popular
Christmas gift. She also does qui1ting, cake decorating, and has recently
developed a love of golf. When not fishing, Wally plays golf, bowls and
tinkers with electronics. He also enjoys working with their computer.
They, have recently returned from an educational trip through Williams
burg,Va. and tell how they continued on to explore the Amish settlement in
Pennsylvania.
Obviously,, retirement does not mean sitti^ng still to this couple.
Enice^and Wally are a most welcome addition to this community.
