SUBJECT: INFORMATION DESK MEETING
The Aquarium's long-awaited information desk is finally in place in ^
the Aquarium entrance, and we are now recruiting volunteers who would
like to work a "shift" at this important location. An orientation and
training meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 3 at 10:00 a.m. in
the Aquarium's classroom. Please join us for this important session,
as we will review the schedules, policies, and specifics of this volun
teer responsibility.
The information Desk will be a very popular stopping point for Aquar
ium visitors. All kinds of questions will be asked, ranging from "what
does the octopus eat?" to "where is a good seafood restaurant?" Our
training session will introduce you to the responsibilities of the job,
give you an idea of the kinds of information needed, and guide you to
finding the necessary answers. Although the duty may sometimes be very
hectic and sometimes slow, it should also make for a very rewarding chal
lenge .
If you are interested in helping the Aquarium as an "information volun
teer" please join us for the orientation. If you would like to volunteer
but are unable to attend on December 3, please give me a call and we will
attempt to schedule an alternate time for training.
Thank you for your interest and support of the Aquarium. We greatly
appreciate the help, and our visitors will too!

The Pine Knoll Shores Rescue Squad meets regularly on the first and
third Monday at 7:00 p.m.
