Our sincere thanks for a fine job in assembling all the material goes to Peggy Mann, Judy Poit and Company. 1^ ine Knoll Shores Commissioners !*• I on Jxme 9, approved the town's 1992-93 budget which includes a $.02 cent increase in the property tax rate, from $.15 cents to $. 17 cents per $100 of assessed property value, "nie increase will cost the owner of a $100,000 house about $20.00 more in taxes. $70,000 from the uncommitted fimd was used to balance the budget in order to keep taxes down. xcellence in Financial Reporting Award was once again give to Pine Knoll Shores. Corrine Webb Geer was honored with an award in Financial Reporting Achievement. Let's also recognize Lee Corrall, Auditor, Betty Carr, Connie Shelton and Mary Lou Kay for a job well done! Plastic Collection Date Change JULY Only! Collection will be July 11 due to the 4th of July Holiday. Remember, only milk jugs and beverage containers marked with a recycling code of 1 and 2. Hevi Officers Installed She Garden Club of Pine Knoll Shores ended a wonderfiilly busy year with a delicious luncheon at the Galley Stack which included the installation of new officers for the forthcoming year. Incoming officers for the 1992-93 year are: Marge Sellers, President; Betty Stanton, Vice President; Judy Poit, Second Vice President; Lenora Roberson, Recording Secretary; Ruth Gibson, Corresponding Secretary; Charlotte Sheard, Treasurer. This past year has been a very industrious and prolific one fortheclid). Members are grateful to all residents who have given support to the club. Even though we won't meet again imtil September, remember that a gardeners work is never done. Throughout the summer you will see various members weeding, watering and caring for the Club's planted areas around our town. We wish you a happy and safe siumner.
