SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 1992
VOLUME Xm - #9
THE9JQREUNE
Editor's Comer
Jim and I hope that all of you
have had a wonderful summer
and are ready for a great fall!
Cool days and evenings.
Doesn't that sound delightful! It
is hard to believe that it is
September already, less than 3
months until Christmas. We'd
like to take this opportunity to say
that after doing the Shoreline for 3
months we are finding it more and
more of a challenge. We need
articles, and input for the
Shoreline. We have been asked
that the New Neighbor Column be
continued. If you know of anyone
who is a new neighbor and/or
would like to be a contributing
reporter to the Shoreline, please
contact us.
It has come to our attention that
there is confusion on when and
where to submit articles for the
Shoreline. Articles for the
Shoreline are picked up at Town
Hall the Thursday after the Town
Board Meeting. Therefore,
articles for the November
Shoreline must be at Town Hall
no later than 4:00 PM Thursday,
October 15. We have also been
apprised of a problem on the date
of the Shoreline. When the
Shoreline is received by tfie
printers it is a minimum of 4 work
days for printing, labeling and
sorting. Bulk mail takes another 2
days. Therefore the Shoreline is
received at the end of the month
which accounts for the date
problem. So as you can see we
are changing the date of the
Shoreline starting this month.
This month is September/
October. We then will be on
schedule. Sincerely,
FROM THE MAYOR:
Many Thanks to Claire Winslow
and the Pine Knoll Shores Garden
Club. After many phone calls to
the Department of Transportation
and the Grey Electric Company,
Salter Patii Road has been
cleaned of all the litter. The
Adopt-A-Highway Sponsor, The
Grey Electric Company bagged all
the litter and trash on Saturday,
September 5.
