Sincerely, £ Jim The Pine Knoll Shores 1^^ Annual Decorated Boat Flotilla will start at 5:30PM, (barring heavy rain), from Brock Basin, Christmas Eve through to McNeil Inlet and retum. It is anticipated that approximately 20 boats will participate in this event. Mr. Dick Mansfield, began this tradition 17 years ago and he was the only boat in it. Holidav Message It has been a privilege and honor to serve the Town of Pine Knoll Shores for the last year. There has been an on going cooperation and a genuine linking of our Board of Commissioners, our Town Staff, I Happy New Yearl 1 all our volunteers, all our committees, and all our residents. We are thankful that everyone is working towards keeping Pine Knoll Shores a place we all can truly call "OUR PARADISE." Kanyha Mayor Certificate Presented Mayor Kanyha presented a certificate of recognition plague to Building Inspector Roy Brownlow from the N.C. Dept, of Crime Control and Public Safety, National Flood Insurance Program, for participation in the Community Rating System program. This endeavor will lower the flood insurance rates for the Town. VOLUNTEER SERVICES AND TAX SAVINGS The name of the Pine Knoll Shores Rescue Squad has been changed to the Pine Knoll Shores Emergency Medical Service (EMS) - a name change that many squads in the state have adopted in order to comply with legal guidelines. It is important for residents to be aware of the volunteer community services rendered by both the Pine Knoll Shores Fire Department and Pine Knoll Shores Emergency Medical Service. Either of these organizations may be contacted via the 911 telephone number during emergencies.
