The Shoreline ♦ ♦ Meet Your New Neighbors Mary and Harold Parks moved into their lovely home, overlooking a charming pond, at 302 Pine Knoll Circle, Pine Knoll Village in 1992. Harold had retired as a transportation officer with Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and Mary had been an administrative assistant with Ford Aerospace. Mary and Harold had three sons: Brian, who is in advertising in Fort Lauderdale, FL; Glen, who is an analyst with the Office of State Personnel in Raleigh; and Kelvin, who passed away from cancer in 1984. Kelvin's dog Clare "looks after" Mary and Harold in Kelvin's absence. Mary loves gardening and writes short stories and poetry. Harold likes fishing and they both love to ride bicycles. Harold is an EMT-D for the Pine Knoll Shores Emergency Medical Service and currently is acting as maintenance officer. Mary and Harold agree the "couldn't be happier here." They say "it is a wonderful place to live." More than 206 visitors have enjoyed their hospitality during the year that they have resided here. J. Poit *************************** McGinnis Point has two new neighbors, Bill and Ruth Carr, at 108 Lagoon Lane. They originate from Glendale, Maryland. Bill worked for Goddard Space Flight Center as a design engineer. Ruth worked on and off but did a lot of babysitting for their 3 lovely granddaughters. They have two children, a daughter, Carolyn, who lives in Gambrills, Maryland and a son, Robert, in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Ruth's biggest pleasure is walking our beach. She likes to exercise and also read. Bill is an avid walker and also enjoys reading. He works part-time for a building, helping do computer designs. They visited Colony by the Sea with the grandchildren and were smitten by Pine Knoll Shores, so here they are. B. FouUt Frances and Jerome Worsley moved into their home at 304 Pine Knoll Circle, Pine Knoll Village, in June 1993. They had spent the last 28 years in Durham, NC, where Jerome was an adminstrator at Durham Technical College and Frances was homemaker. They have two sons and one step-granddaughter. They have been vacationing on Bogue Banks for more than 30 years - they remember it "way back when." When Jerome retired they decided to make Pine Knoll Shores their home. Jerome loves fishing and gardening, Frances loves to sew and refinish furniture and shares Jerome's love of fishing. They both agree that this is a nice community with very congenial people. /. Poit
