Billy is a retired director of purchasing for Haines, a division of the Sara Lee Corporation. Iryma is a homemaker. Iryma and Billy were invited to visit a friend's home on Bogue Banks and they looked around Beacon's Reach, fell in love with the area, and bought their lot on the spot. They also have a con do in Beacons reach which they used prior to the buildup of their home. Iryma has a son and a daughter and Billy has a son and a daughter. Between them they have 5 grandsons, one great-grandson on the way and another great grandchild on the way. Possibly a girl? Iryma loves to watch the birds over Egret Lake and she loves collecting. Billy likes to read and also shares Iryma's love of birdwatching. Billy is still involved as a consultant in the cotton industry. Judy Poit All by herself, Catherine (Kit) Fredman lives in this lovely, light airy home at 120 Holly Road. She visited her sister in Beaufort, NC in 1990 and accidentally stumbled onto PKS and in 1991 was smitten by our community. A plus for her was when she bought and moved in - she found she was practically surround ed by Republicans! She is currently President of the Carteret County Women's Republican Club. Originally from the town of Wake Forest, her father was Professor of Chemistry/Wake Forest University, she was married and moved to San Francisco, then Bangkok and back to Los Angeles, ending up in McLean, Va. Her husband was with the gov ernment. After raising her daugh ter, Nancy Fredman, who graduated from University of Virginia as an engineer, she divorced and went to work for Miter Corp. Kit was President of the VA. Federation of Republican Women. She held a position on the National Re publican Federation Board and is now Pres, of the Carteret County Women's Republican Club. She is also Director of the Herb Society of America. Needless to say, she grows all kinds of herbs. She does needlework and now plays golf and loves it. Melinda, her Siamese cat, runs the house. She is a beautiful, three year old, blue-eyed charmer that Kit adores. Very Sorry! The Racca's son Andrew attends HAHPDEN- SYDNEY COLLEGE located in HAMPDEN- SYDNEY, VA. Pat Adams says the college is the 4th oldest college in the USA, founded in 1776.
