WELCOME NEW NEIGHBORS Frank and Louise Chut moved into ®^heir spectacular oceanfront home at 401 Maritime Place last month. They come from Princeton, NJ, where they lived on a small farm outside of tovm. Frank is an attorney and retired staff Vice-President and Associate General Counsel for Schering-Plough, a pharmaceutical company. Louise was a college professor in the area of Public Health. Their son went to Duke. During one of their visits with him they came to the coast. They liked the area so much that they bought a condo at Dunescape and continued to spend their vacations here. Their son is married and lives in Greensboro. Both he and his wife are attorneys. Louise and Frank are taking up golf. Louise loves to cook and she has planned a wonderful kitchen for gourTTiet cooking. They both love to walk on the beach. When I asked them if they had ^^any special thoughts about PKS, they said that they are very grateful that they found it. They appreciate the real sense of community here that can be lacking now in the northeast. We are pleased they have moved here. Betty and David Finefrock have just moved into their new home at 13 0 Hawthorne Dr. They moved from Dearborn, Michigan, where David worked for 37 years for Standard Products Co., a supplier of parts for the "Big Three Auto Companies". He was Human Resources Manager and Comptroller. Betty was a clerk for Kerr Mfg., which makes dental materials. Son, Scott, and daughter-in-law, Laura, live in Raleigh. No grand children. Betty was born in Alpena, MI, .^David on Staten Island, NY, but ■Pgrew up in Clinton, Ohio. Vacations were always spent at a beach - up and down the coast. Once they found Pine Knoll Shores, that was it! They felt at home in our quiet, laidback atmosphere. They brought along their cats, Jasper and Motley. Motley is having a hard time adjusting. The ceiling fans have scared him. He spent two days under the bed. They had to take it apart to get him out. Betty enjoys handicrafts. David likes to read and is a computer hacker. He's looking for someone to teach him the art of surf fishing (any takers out there? Stop by and see David.) Betty Lee Foulk Chris and Jerry Walters live mainly weekends at their home at 154 Mimosa Blvd. They commute most weekends from Raleigh. Jerry works in the Research Triangle Park in Raleigh for Reichhold Chemical. Chris is retired from J C Penney where she was a decorating consultant. They were both born in Gloucestershire, England, married there and moved to Canada in 1964, and then to United States in 1967 to Greensburg, PA. They moved, in 1970, to Dover, Delaware, where they sailed on the Chesapeake Bay. When they moved to Raleigh, Jerry- looked at a map of NC to pick a place to enjoy the seashore in their retirement. He chose Morehead City and came for a visit (the Christmas of 1989). Yes there were 16 inches of snow. They came back in the summer to revisit, took a picnic basket with wine and cheese to our beach and fell in love with Pine Knoll Shores' beach and trees. They "died and went to heaven." They rented a cottage to try it here and bought a home here in 1992 . They have two children, son Ian in Chesterton, MD and daughter 5
