Residents can apply for or update a re-entry pass at the Tovm Hall
any weekday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Don't wait until an alert has
been sounded and the staff is preparing to evacuate.
PUBLIC HEARING - FY 1995-96 BUDGET
Mayor Hasulak opened the Public Hearing for comments from the
citizens. The tax rate remains the same, 21 cents on the hundred dollar
valuation. The budget for FY 1995-96 was approved unanimously by the
Board.
WATER COMMITTEE
The Board of Commissioners supported unanimously the final
recommendations of the Water Committee to negotiate the purchase of
Carolina Water Service. If this does not materialize, a state of the art
system will be built by the Town. Mayor Hasulak and Commissioner Gallo
were appointed to negotiate with Utilities, Inc. on behalf of the Town.
The Water Committee was dissolved but would serve in an advisory capacity
when needed. The Committee was thanked for their time and efforts on
behalf of the Town.
FIRE PREVENTION INSPECTOR
A job description for new position of part-time Fire Prevention
Inspector was approved by the Board.
SANITATION WORKERS OF THE YEAR
The Board voted to nominate three garbage collection personnel from
Waste Industries, who service Pine Knoll Shores, as Sanitation Workers of
the Year in a contest sponsored by Ruffies Manufacturers. This contest
monetarily rewards garbage collection personnel.
