WELCOME NEW RESIDENTS Bob and Diane Zipf moved into their beautiful new home at 121 Beechwood Drive from northern New Jersey last year but they haven't retired and moved down permanently as yet. Bob is a retired NJ firefighter working currently as a contractor and Diane is a registered nurse. Several years ago during a historical trip down the Outer Banks, they stopped for an overnight at Atlantic Beach. Remembering a friend who lived on Arborvitae Drive, Pine Knoll Shores, they looked him up and were given the "grand tour." They loved what they saw and returned to look for houses and/or property. When they saw a spacious lot on Beechwood Drive, they bought it, and Bob, acting as contractor, has built a lovely home overlooking the canal. Bob and Diane have four children; a son, who is married and has a daughter and a son; twin daughters, one of whom is married, and another daughter who is employed in Manhattan. All live in northern New Jersey. They have two grandchildren, a boy and a girl, with one more expected later this year. Bob is busy handling the building of his friend's house on Sycamore Drive. Diane loves to garden, read and is busy decorating her new home. She wants to start to play tennis. When I asked them if they had any special thoughts on PKS, Diane said she was impressed with the friendliness of the people and the relaxed air. We welcome them. Judy Poit Jack and Sheila Daly are in the process of building a spacious home at 104 Sycamore Drive. They currently are living in northern New Jersey where Jack owns a commercial heating company. Sheila is office manager. Jack and Sheila have two daughters living in New Jersey. Several years' ago they visited Pine Knoll Shores with their friends Bob and Diane Zipf. They were with them when the Zipfs bought their lot on Beechwood and subsequently Jack and Sheila found the prefect lot on Sycamore. Bob Zipf is acting as the contractor for their house. Boy you should see the size of Sheila's closet. Jack is a pilot. He belongs the the Pilot's Association, a national organization. He has done oil painting in the past and wants to resume painting when he retires. Sheila loves to read. I'm sure they'll be walking the beach with the Zipf's when they all move down here permanently. We will be glad to have them with us. Judy Poit 1. m 4
