PINE KNOLL SHORES EMS SQUAD §65 Pine Knoll Shores EMS 65 held its monthly meeting, August 1st. We have two members to join the squad, Jennifer Chapman, Trinity- Center, and Dr. Jeffrey Anderson who is a resident of PKS and on staff at Carteret General Hospital Emergency Room and will be a great asset to the squad and PKS. With some calls it has been im possible for us to drive our ambu lances down tree lined driveways on 911 calls. This has impeded our access to the house and patient, actually requiring us to carry the patient to the street. This is not only very uncomfortable for the patient but also takes time when time may be critical. Our ambulances need a height clearance of nine feet and a width clearance of seven feet to prevent damages to the vehicles. Please help us protect the ambulances and your tax dollars by checking the tree limbs in your driveway for the clearances needed. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated and save us the embarrassment of having to explain whey we no longer have dome lights and radio antenna costing us several hundred dollars to replace. The squad answered 20 calls in July. "Call 911 and we'll be there!" Teddy Wimberley, Chief PINE KNOLL SHORES WOMEN'S CLUB The time has arrived!!
