MESSAGE FROM CHIEF CRAWFORD:
One of our residents
called the Police
Department and in
quired if we had heard of
anyone receiving calls from New Jersey Prisons.
Apparently the AT&T operator wanted to know
if he would accept the call. If so, they had to
give some information and accept the call.
These scams are going on, so beware of what
you say over the phone, and don't accept any-
that sounds too good to be true. It might not be
true and you could be out a lot of MONEY.
DIRECTORY UPDATE
We ask all PKS property owners' associations
to inform us of changes in officers or managers
as they happen. We keep a record in our Town
Directory of managers and/or contact persons
for each organizatipn. This is especially helpful
when notifying of special meetings and in
emergencies.
Welcome New Residents
Ray and Mary Rice moved into their lovely home at #6 Fairway Court in mid-December. They
moved here from West Islip, Long Island, New York. Ray retired as an engineer from Grumman
Aerospace (now Northrup Grumman) and Mary retired from the West Islip Public Schools where she
worked in the guidance department at the High School.
Ray and Mary were introduced to this area by their son, Tom. Tom had been stationed here in
the Coast Guard and had bought a home in Pine Knoll Shores on Holly Road. Ray and Mary came
to PKS to visit Tom and also Paul and Mary Heim. Ray had worked with Paul at Grumman. It was
February; they played golf and enjoyed the warm temperatures. Ray and Mary asked Tom to look
for a house for them and they found the perfect house nestled next to the fairway on the 18th hole.
