MARCH BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING
YARD SALE
The Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to dispose of certain
surplus property of the Town at an Auction Sale on April 3, 1996 from 2:30
p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Town Hall garage in compliance with N.C. General
Statute 160A-271. Some of the items being sold are 2 - 3'x4' chalk boards,
1 arm chair, 2 computer printer desks, 1 file cabinet 29"xl8"x25", 1 rolling
table 18"x36", 7 upholstered straight chairs, 1 table lamp, room dividers, etc.
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR
Our appreciation to Lee Parker for serving as Emergency Management Director for the past year.
Ed Kuhary was given the oath of office as the new Director, with Dick Dutcher remaining as
Assistant Director. This group will need all of our support to make any evacuation successful one.
AD HOC WATER COMMITTEE
The Ad Hoc Water Committee has been reactivated by Mayor Hasulak to work with Atlantic
Beach on the possibility of a joint water project. A meeting will take place in the near future.
PLANNING BOARD
Planning Board Chairman Beal Marks and member Eugene Walz will be attending the N.C.
Annual Planning Conference in Durham on March 28 and 29.
