recycling schedules for Pine Knoll Shores during June, fuly and August will be as
follows:
HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE - Two days each week (Monday and Thursday)
RECYCLING - Every Thursday
CALENDARS SHOWING RECYCLING REGULATIONS AND YEAR-ROUND PICKUP
DATES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE FRONT DESK AT TOWN HALL
APRIL BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING
FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
The current revenues and expenditures were reviewed by the Board. Eighty-five percent of
budgeted revenues have been collected and expenditures are 60% of the current budget. This
means the Town is about 15% under budget at this time. Investments are yielding
approximately 4 cents of the ad valorem tax rate. Through careful planning and direction, the
Town continues to operate in a cost-conscious manner. A work session on the 1996-1997 FY
Budget followed the regular Board meeting.
WATER REPORT
The court has ordered the Town and Carolina Water Service to meet with a Mediator,
approved by both parties, to discuss a reasonable price for the water system. This meeting will
take place before July 21, 1996, on an agreed upon date. This is not binding arbitration, but
rather an attempt to bring both sides together for a conclusion to the matter.
NEW FIRE INSPECTOR
Bruce Flynt of 177 Oakleaf Drive has assumed the responsibilities of Fire Inspector for the
Town of Pine Knoll Shores. He replaces Andy Turney, the first Fire Inspector for the Town.
Bruce is also a fireman with the Pine Knoll Shores Fire Department. Our thanks and
appreciation to Andy for a job well done!
LOCK YOUR CARS!
Always lock your car when not in use! This might prevent a burglary!
