There were no comments from the citizens and the Board voted unanimously to approve the Budget as proposed. CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE For the seventh consecutive year, the Town has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. Pine Knoll Shores is one of the smallest municipalities in the country to receive this prestigious award. WATER REPORT Mayor Hasulak and Commissioner Gallo met with Carolina Water Service officials at a mediation hearing on June 12. Although the purchase of the water service was not resolved, additional information is being obtained. Storm Information Packet At the June 12th Hurricane Awareness town meeting a packet of very helpful information to help you prepare for a storm was distributed. These packets will now be available at Town Hall for any resident who has not received one. We urge anyone who does not have this information to stop by and pick one up. The best protection of your property is what each home owner does now and before you evacuate. If you have not had your BLUE REENTRY PASS stamped for 1996 you can also do this when you stop in at Town Hall. You will not be permitted to return to PKS after a storm without this. 1
