SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO PKS!!! This is the parade route that Santa will follow on December 14, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at Town Hall. The parade will move to Ramsey Drive, then right on Arborvitae to Salter Path Rd, and then left onto Oakleaf Dr., and then down Juniper to Cypress. They will turn right onto / Cypress to Cedar Road, then back to Oakleaf. Fom Oakleaf it will move onto Mimosa and right on Loblolly and back to Mimosa, then left on Beechwood and left on Sycamore to Hawthorne; left on Hawthorne and back to Mimosa and to Salter Path Road and back to Town Hall. Rain date is December 21. FROM THE PKS POLICE DEPARTMENT Subject: Alleged Assault of a Female The recent incident in Pine Knoll Shores, which involved an alleged assault of a female has been cleared. The police department along with the S.B.I. have conducted an in-depth investigation and find no further reason for the citizens of the town to feel threatened or concerned with their safety in reference to this incident. The Police Department would like to thank the observant citizen who reported the incident. We also would like to thank the rescue squad for their prompt and professional response. In concern for the subject involved, we will make no further comments on this case. E. W. Crawford Chief of Police PKS EMS SQUAD #65 The Squad held its November meeting October 31 at the home of Dick and Gloria Gustafson. Some members came in costume for the occasion. The best costume award was won by Rita Whalen...a gypsy. She even read palms. We all enjoyed a delicious chili supper. We have missed Commissioner Emily White, who is now home from Virginia, recuperating from her surgery. Marion Walker was thanked for the success of our retreat at Trinity Center in October. Plans are underway to improve our service to the community. Malcolm Bone and Bruce Newman are recovering from the incident in the ambulance. It will be a long process to full recovery. Joan and Fred Libby confirmed that the annual Christmas gala will be held at the Ramada Inn on December 2nd. Salter Path Fire and Rescue has invited us to join them in their annual Christmas parade on December 8th at 2:00 p.m. We will be participating in the PKS Christmas parade on December 14. An EMT class will begin in early January. Anyone interested in joining our squad and attending this class, please call Kathy Trommer (240-0555). We need you!!! Anyone who needs to borrow walkers, wheel chairs, walking canes, potty chairs, etc. please feel free to call us or call the Town Hall.
