Absentee vote at elections office - Friday, April 28 until 5:00 p.m. Apn7 Board of Commissioners Meeting Shoreline Access/Recreation Plan FY 1999-2000 Shoreline Access/Recreation Plan was unanimously adopted by the Board. The purpose of the plan is to identify the shoreline access, park and recreation needs of the Town's residents. The plan places emphasis on planning for and developing shoreline access sites along both the ocean and soundside shorelines. The document will serve as the basis for planning decisions by the Town for the next five years. FY2000-2001 The Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to retain the law firm of Kirkman, Whitford & Brady as the Town Counsel. They also unanimously approved the services of G. Lee Carroll, CPA as Town Auditor. McNeil Inlet Bridge An agreement between Pine Knoll Shores and the North Carolina Department of Transportation was authorized for the replacement of McNeil Inlet Bridge. The state will be providing 80% of the cost with the Town contributing the remaining 20%. The cost of replacing the bridge will be approximately $500,000. Public Hearing There will be a public hearing during the May 9th Board of Commissioners meeting on rezoning of the 10' X 415' strip of land adjacent to McNeil Inlet, which is owned by the Town. Town Yard Sale The Town will have a yard sale of surplus item from all departments on Friday, May 12th, 2:00 - 4:00 P.M.
