Alford has signed the Order and Final Judgement in the Carolina Water Service lawsuit with the Town in favor of the Town of Pine Knoll Shores on all counts. Carolina Water Service has 30 days from the date of the order to file notice of appeal. Budget for FY 2000-2001 The proposed budget of $2,046,114 for FY 2000-2001 was approved unanimously by the Board of Connmissioners at the June 13 regular meeting. Bulkheading of Canal Front Lots Because of soil and debris eroding into the canal from lots that are not bulkheaded, the Board of Commissioners on the recommendation of the Planning Board, adopted an ordinance requiring all canal front property to be bulkheaded. Owners whose lots are not bulkheaded will have three years from June, 2000 to have their lot bulkheaded. All bulkheads must be maintained in a good state of repair to prevent erosion of sand, soil and other debris into the canal. A resolution was adopted by the Board of Commissioners establishing the position of Town Administrator and to revise the duties of Town Clerk effective July 1, 2000. Former Town Clerk Betty J. Carr was named Town Administrator and Ronda Lambert was named Town Clerk.
