December Board of Commissioners Meeting
i There was a Public Hearing on a proposed ordinance regarding specifications controlling construction within
those areas zoned as Commercial Property. The Board during the regular meeting then voted to approve
the Ordinance.
i The Board approved site plans for Pine Knoll Shores Condominiums on the lot between the Sheraton and
the Windjammer Inn, which had previously been considered for a hotel.
i Beach Access has been obtained from the Trinity Center with 20-25 parking spaces, others are still being
pursued.
i Mayor Musgrave recognized Ted Goetzinger who stepped down from office after 5 years of serving the Town
as Commissioner. Oaths of Office were administered to Jim Hunter, Bob Gallo, and Mary Kanyha. Reese
Musgrave was re-elected by the Board to serve as Mayor and Bob Gallo was re-elected by the Board to
serve as Mayor Pro tem. Oaths of Office were administered to the Mayor and Mayor Pro tem.
1 Resolution passed proclaiming December "Shop, Stay and Dine in Carteret County Month" in Carteret
County.
i Resolution passed supporting the 2004-2010 Transportation Improvement Program priorities for Carteret
County.
i Department Head assignments - Bob Gallo, Finance & Administration; Jim Hunter, Public Property;
Mary Kanyha, Emergency Services; Evan Roderick, Planning & Streets; Emily White, Police.
