Pase 6 The Shoreline vmnmimnjn April, 2002 Yard Waste Reminder 1) The last Tuesday of each month, Waste Industries picks up and removes yard waste (yard waste consisting solely of vegetative matter resulting from landscape maintenance) from the single family residences and approved multi-family arojects in the Town. Such items shall include imbs, debris, leaves, straw, clipped shrubbery, bushes, grass and weed trimmings. Leaves, debris, straw, clippings or trimmings must be bagged, boxed or containerized. Limbs, shrubbery or other long items must be securely tied in bundles no longer than four (4) feet in length and no larger than eighteen (18) inches in diameter. Each bag, box, container or bundle of yard waste must not exceed fifty (50) pounds in weight. To maintain a neat appearance of our Town, yard waste for pickup should not be placed on right of way until the weekend before the monthly pickup. If yard waste is not prepared according to Waste Industry guidelines, it will not be picked up. It then becomes the responsibility of the homeowner to remove the debris. Further, in the event yard waste is not prepared for pick up according to regulations, the Town will cause non-compliant yard waste to be collected and disposed if practical, and the occupant will be assessed the cost for such collection and disposal and a civil penalty in the amount of $100.00 to be collected in the nature of a debt if not paid within seven days after assessment. Effective upon adoption August 28th 2001.
