Isle Youth Tennis Clinics The
Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation
Department will be offering a Winter
Youth Tennis Clinic. The clinic will take
place at the Emerald Isle Community
Center on Mondays from 4-5:00pm,
February 2-March 16, 2009. The six
week session will be $70 for ages 7-13.
All levels are welcome. Registration is
limited to 6 students. Must register by
January 30,2009. Forms can be picked up
at the Community Center or downloaded

Festival Crystal Coast Civic Center,

lovers should mark their calendars for
early February and make their way to
the Crystal Coast for the annual Carolina
Chocolate Festival. Started in 2003, the
event has continued to grow each year.
Taking place at the Crystal Coast Civic
Center in early February of each year,
the event offers visitors an opportunity
to enjoy exhibit booths with chocolate
demonstrations from professional chefs
and to support local non-profit groups
selling tasty treats.

the Beaufort Historical Association opens
the buildings of the Beaufort Historic Site
for current and prospective members to
explore, which allows them to see how
the BHA uses membership dollars to
preserve and promote the rich cultural
heritage of Beaufort and Carteret County.
Each building features unique drinks and
refreshments. "Fish Bouffant" artist Craig
Gurganus is featured in the Mattie King
Davis Art Gallery. Come join as a member

from the Heart'' The show will be
at the former Carteret News-Times
building in the 4000 block of Arendell
street in Morehead City across from the
Hampton Inn. Admission to the show is
free. In 2008, there were approximately
350 pieces of original artwork in all
media presented by artists from Carteret,
Craven, Pamlico and Onslow Counties.
