Beach Wheelchairs Available

Carteret County accessible to all persons who have a physical or mental challenges.
A recent goal has been to make the beaches more accessible to the elderly and the disabled and a number of beach wheel
chairs have been donated to help with that cause. These wheelchairs cost $2,500 a piece and their large fat tires and sturdy con-

Beach (726-3775), Pine Knoll Shores (247-2268), Indian Beach (247-7994) and Emerald Isle (354-2445) - as well as at Fort
Macon Park (726-3775). You should call ahead to reserve a chair as they are popular and its not unusual to find them checked
