July 4th Parade Byjill Cross Pine Knoll Shores had another wonderful well-attended parade thanks to Kim Reilly. This year is number 21. While we don’t know the exact number of people present, a good estimate is around 300. Whats fun to see are adults who dress up and join the kids in their red, white and blue finery on bicycles or sim ply walking around the neighborhood. The route was slightly longer this year, which was enjoyed by all, with music blaring in front and back of the parade, led by Nick Berry. A nice crowd gathered on Oakleaf and a few of the side streets to cheer the red, white and blues along. The customary soda, cake and watermel on were served in abundance after the parade by Kims happy helpers. Pine Knoll Shores’ fire truck was at the park and entertained the kids afterwards. They climbed inside, asked the firemen questions and took hats and col oring books home. Another successful parade enjoyed by all. 4*^ of July Photos by Jan Corsello
