An alternative method to reach a Pine Knoll Shores Pohce Officer for non-emergency situ ations is a telephone call to 247-2474. Your call will roll to our on-duty Officer’s cell phone after hours. During normal working hours the call will be answered by a town employee or a VIPS volunteer (or, if they are not available, back to an officer). For any situation that actually involves sus pected criminal activity please call 911. This remains the most effective and reliable way to quickly have a patrol car dispatched to your home. When deciding which number to call, please consider this: if you need at officer to actually come to your location or if there is suspected criminal activity involved, always call 911. If you are requesting/passing information only, call 247- 2474. It is critically important that when a law en forcement officer actually deploys tp a scene he/ she does so only after being centrally dispatched via the 911 system.
