Held on July 12 from 7-11 p.m. at the Beaufort Historic Site, the BHA’s Summer Party was started as a celebration of Beaufort’s 300th anniversary in 2009. It has quickly become a tradition, and the perfect occasion to celebrate the fun and easy-going, season that so many families enjoy in Beaufort. This year, the BHA invites you to a luau-themed party, featuring great music and food with a Hawaiian and Polynesian flair. Tickets for this premier summer event are $100 per person and will feature a luau- inspired menu by local favorite, Beaufort Grocery Company. Their help as one of the , lead sponsors makes this Summer Party possible. The Summer Party will feature live music by The Boomers. A phenomenal band with a cool vibe and crowd-pleasing favorites, the band has a longstanding tradition of great performances and a loyal following. They have been providing high-energy music for the past two decades, including a performance for the 1997 President Clinton Inaugural Ball. They have produced Grammy-winning multi-platinum artists’ tracks on many nationally released albums and have written over 100 songs for popular television shows. With the help of donations by local businesses, the BHA hopes to raise funds through a live and silent auction to continue its mission of preserving the local history as well as educating future generations on the rich heritage found in Beaufort. Tickets may be purchased in advance or "the day of the event at the Beaufort Historic Site Welcome Center at 130 Turner Street in Beaufort or online at www. beauforthistoricsite.org.
