Cotnpany, Inc., Manufacturing Division, Spray, North Carolina Volume Five Monday, October 14, 1946 Number Seven Karastan Rug Film Featured On New York Television Show Pictured above are the Wanamaker Studios of the Dumont Television Laboratories (Station WABD), New York, from which the first television broadcast of Karastan Rugs was transmitted to the cities of New York, Philadelphia, and Wash ington on September 18. Appearing just before the Louis- Mauriello fight, it is estimated that approximately 30,000 per sons saw the Karastan show. The program featured the excellent Karastan Rug film, “Home Is What You Make It,” and caused wide-spread inter est among the owners of home television sets in the three cities. To Form Community Safety Council Here Representatives from business firms, clubs and other organizations throughout the community will meet at Central Y. M. C. A. Friday evening, October 18, at 7:30 o’clock for the purpose of forming a community safety council and elect ing officers for the organization. W. B.
