Sympathy:
The entire Mill unites in extending
our most sincere sympathy to the fami
lies of Ed Cabler and Calvin Hill, who
were killed in a motorcycle-truck acci

whose brother. Junior Gilley, lost a leg
in the same accident.
We are glad to have Henrietta Cole
man and Effie McCulloch back again
after being on the sick list for several
days.
We have had quite a bit of company
for the past two weeks including my
next-door neighbor. How do you like
our Mill, W. B.? We like it.
Talking of company. John Coleman
wanted everything spic and span while
they were here so he poured a fire-
bucket full of water in the water sink
just to see it run out in the floor. The
plumbers had disconnected the pipes
and he didn’t know it, but we know
he got very busy mopping it up. O.K.,
Henrietta, he knows how, so rest your
bones while friend hubby mops this
week-end.
Wonder who got whose supper Mon
day evening? And was her face red
when she found she had a sack of good
things to eat instead of her Coca-Cola

Employees of John Smith and Sons
were unloading a box car of sand late
Tuesday afternoon and in wanting to
move it a short piece, the car got out of
control and ran away.
Crashing the steel fence and gate
posts, approximately at 7:00 p. m., the
car continued through the Woolen Mill
yard tearing down the “gang-plank” be
tween the Warehouse and Machine shop,
and finally stopping; after going over
the side of the coal shute and slightly
entering the door of the boiler room.
There was considerable damage donej
but no one was hurt. (Quite a few^
slightly frightened).
Mr. Sidney Cox just returned from
New York where he was in conference
with Kinard and Company officials on
new samples of Woolen goods.
