Two PIELDCREST M:ILL WHISTLE September 29, 1947 University Of Mexico Textile Students Tour Fieldcrest Mills A group of textile students from the University of Mexico are shown above with their bus in which they are touring parts of the United States observing textile mills. In center, standing, is Jones Norman, Leaksville personnel manager. The visitors from South of the border toured the Karastan Rug mill during last week and had lunch at the Y. M. C. A. Field- crest Cafeteria as guests of Fieldcrest Mills. Speaking through their two interpreters the students had many questions about machines and processes in the local mills. Their next stop after leaving the Tri-Cities was Atlanta, Ga. Y. M. C. A.’s Honor Lions In Appreciation Of Playground Assistance Representatives of the boards of directors for the Leaks ville and North Spray Y. M. C. A. were host to the Leaksville- Spray Lions Club recently at the Y. M. C. A. Fieldcrest Cafe teria for the purpose of thanking the club for the playground equipment which the club was instrumental in placing at the Y. M. C. A. playgrounds at Leaksville and North Spray. Rev. D. G. Saunders, standing, chairman of the board of directors of North Spray Y. M. C. A. and Cletus Tulloch of the Leaksville Y. M. C. A. board spoke briefly in appreciation of the Lions’ assistance on the playgrounds project. — FIELDCREST COMMUNITY WEEK OCTOBER 13 THROUGH 19 - - VISIT THE PLANTS OF FIELDCREST MILLS WEDNESDAY, OCTO BER 15.
