Karastan Gets New Winding And Beaming Machinery As part of a modernization program necessary lor continuing to produce desirable merchandise economically, a new winding and beaming unit has re cently been put into operation at the Karastan Rug Mill. This imit is used for making wool-pile beams for the two high-speed Clark needle looms. The new equipment consists of a most modern cone winder, large 15-foot reel, an over-end creel and a huge beamer. Winding and beaming can be done at lower cost with the new machinery and with substantial savings in waste and left-over yarn.
