she will go Paine’s in Boston where
she will give similar demonstrations.
She replaced Mrs. Kate Coleman who
was unable to make the trip due to
illness. In the picture above. Miss Rick
man is shown with Virgil Hall, super
intendent of Karastan, before leaving
for New York.
Simpson Re-Named
Mutual Aid Pres.
In the recent election of officers, di
rectors and unit committeemen for the
United Mutual Aid Association, Glenn
Simpson was reelected president and
Ray Warner and Louise Landress were
reelected vice-president and secretary,
respectively. Grissom Manley was
elected treasurer succeeding C. B.
Rakestraw who was not a candidate
for reelection due to his approaching
retirement.
Other members of the board of di
rectors are Robert Adkins, Blanket;
J. B. Reynolds, Karastan; Dan Squires,
Sheeting; F. Wade Younts, Bedspread;
Clarence Manley, Electric Blanket; and
Maurice Rawlins, Central Warehouse.
Unit committeemen were elected as
follows:
General Office — Louise Landress,

wood.

Exemption Changes
Should Be Reported
Employees who have had changes in
the number of exemptions claimed for
federal income tax deductions should
notify the Payroll Department at once.
The change in status should be reported
on form W-4, which may be obtained
from foremen or timekeepers.
All changes received by the Payroll
Department in January will be put into
effect. There will then be no further
tax changes on the payroll until July 1.
Employees are required by law to file a
corrected form W-4 within 10 days after
a change reducing the number of de
pendents to which he is entitled such as
divorce, legal separation, dependents
earning over $600, etc.
However, the law provides that
