C., Monday, December 1, 1958 Children’s Expect Large Crowd For Annual Social Of Jr. Carolina Council Helen Robertson, of the Cashier’s De partment, president of the Junior Caro lina Council, has announced that the Junior Council’s annual social is sche duled for Tuesday, December 16. The event will be held at the Leaks- ville Firemen’s Hut on the Stoneville road directly behind the Leaksville Drive-In Theatre. The program will begin at 7:30 p. m. Frank Angell, of Roanoke, Va., a well-known humorist, will provide en tertainment. His performance will be followed by buffet-style refreshments and dancing. Mrs. Robertson will open the pro gram and Katherine Manley, of the Purchasing Department, program chair man for the Junior Council, will have charge of the program. Cuma Odell, of the Legal Department, will introduce Mr. Angell. Letters were mailed last week invit ing all members of the Junior Council and the husbands and wives of mem bers. Unmarried members may bring one guest. The Junior Council social is always a highlight of the program year. Large crowds have attended the events in re cent years and it is expected that at tendance this year will set a record. NUMBER 11 Children Of All Employees Invited To Annual Events Sponsored By Council Christmas parties for the children of Fieldcrest employees will be held at Spray and Fieldale Saturday, Decem ber 13. The annual events are spon sored by the Carolina Cooperative Council. The party for children of North Caro lina employees is scheduled for 10 a. m. in the Morehead High School gymna sium. Children of Towel mill employees will attend a party at 2 p. m. in the Fieldale High School auditorium. Entertainment at both parties will be furnished by the famous Charlotte Boys Choir. The name is misleading since it is much more than a choir. It is a top-notch show, comparable to some of the better acts seen on tele vision. The versatile and talented musical organization has thrilled audiences in many states with outstanding variety entertainment. Santa Claus will be on hand at each party and will have a treat for each and every child. Fred Klein, council president, said, “We wish to invite the children of all employees and hope we will have cap acity crowds at Spray and Fieldale. We feel that a big party for all Fieldcrest youngsters is the best thing the coun cil can do to add to the happiness of the children at Christmastime.” Mr. Klein urged employees to tell their children about the parties and make arrangements for them to attend. Employees who wish to accompany smaller children will be welcomed, he said. Notices will be posted on mill bul letin boards reminding employees of the children’s parties and stating how tickets may be obtained. Credit Union Dividend A 4% per annum dividend for mem bers of the Fieldcrest Mills Credit Union was voted by the Credit Union’s board of directors at their regular monthly meeting November 21.
