Classes met at the Con solidated Central Y.3LC.A. on a sched ule permitting persons on all working shifts to attend. In addition to the courses at Spray, the Red Cross standard course in first aid is being given at Fieldale for the benefit of Towel Mill employees. The classes are under way now and will meet at weekly intervals until the course is completed. Instructors for the Fieldale course are Branton Martin, of the duPont ny lon plant at Martinsville, and Jack Whitten, of the Gravely Furniture Com pany, Martinsville. Smithfield, Va., Man Is Edwards’ Namesake T. E. (Elwood) Edwards, office manager at our Smithfield Automatic Blanket Plant, has found (or has been found by) a namesake. And, of all places, in Smithfield, Virginia. He recently received a letter, intend ed for him, but addressed to Smithfield, Virginia. The letter had been forwarded by a T. E. Edwards, RED, Smithfield, Virginia, who wrote: “This letter, I think, was intended for you of North Carolina instead of Virginia. So enclosed you will find same.
