Fieldcrest Towels In Pango Pango — User Praises Our Quality You can never tell where Fieldcrest merchandise will show up. The letter below was received at our Fieldcrest sales office in New York from a lady in Apia, Western Samoa. It was promptly answered by F. W. Hoit, president of our Fieldcrest sales divi sion, giving the information requested. The letter from half-way around the world follows: “Dear Sir: “A month ago we stayed with some American friends in Pango Pango. In our guest room they had some beauti ful Fieldcrest towels for us to use. I’m a New Zealander and I have never seen quality like these and I’d love to purchase some. “I saw your address in the American House & Garden which I get and won dered if you had a catalogue or pamph lets about your towels and bed linens, which you could send me. Certificates will remain on the looms as long as standards are surpassed. Towel Mill Loomfixer Praised For Invention Ben Minter holds device he invented to improve two-piece warp weaving operation. Ben Minter, a loomfixer at the Towel Mill, has worked out a device which stops the loom off on two-piece warps to prevent the style from having to be re-drawn. His invention has been described as an excellent device which does a good job at very low installation cost. In a letter commending Mr. Minter, D. E. Simons, Towel Mill superinten dent, said: “ ... We appreciate your in terest in your job and hope you will continue to use your initiative to im prove quality and lower costs. By having people with your interest on the job is the only way we can continue to stay competitive in a very tough business and insure all of us full employment.” Ay. November 7 i960
